About AI SAROSH
About AI Sarosh
AI SAROSH (Artificial Intelligence for Sexual and Reproductive Health for South Asia Hub) is a project funded by the Canadian International Development Research Center (IDRC) under the Artificial Intelligence for Global Health (AI4GH) initiative. The hub focuses on reducing the sexual and reproductive health burden in South Asia by developing AI-driven solutions for early detection, prevention, and intervention. It is connected to AI hubs across Africa, Latin America, and MENA.

Our role in AI Sarosh
PHC Global, in partnership with the Nepal-based Group for Technical Assistance (GTA) Foundation, serves as IDRC’s Secretariat in South Asia, overseeing grant allocation and project management. Our role includes:
Guiding AI solution design, data strategies, and deployment frameworks
Building a secure digital system for proposal submission, review, and selection
Creating a platform for sub-grantees to track milestones, submit deliverables, and report progress
Leading robust systems for proposal assessment and project monitoring
Developing fairness, accountability, and privacy standards for AI in low-resource settings
Providing expert advice on AI models, validation, and optimization
Designing metrics and methods to assess progress, impact, and scalability
Establishing protocols for piloting and scaling AI in public health
